In Florence Christmas markets are not a long tradition of historical basis. That is why it is so curious that here are Christmas markets which can satisfy even the most rafined taste. Christmas Market “Weihnachtsmarkt” in Piazza Santa Croce
The Christmas market held in Piazza Santa Croce is a “Weihnachtsmarkt” decorated in German style. More than fifty stands housed in the characteristic wooden houses will bring to Florence the scents and flavors of Christmas with artistic handicraft products, gift ideas and decorations for the Christmas tree and nativity scenes. There will be also stands with traditional Tuscan food and a lot of from the various Italian regions and European countries.
According to the German tradition Christmas gifts brings a spirit represented with blonde hair and angelic wings, that is why the market will host the female “Santa Claus” that will meet all the little visitors. Moreover, in the Santa Claus’s house will be organized games and workshops for children.

Red Cross Christmas Market
The 2018 edition of the Christmas Market orginized by Florentine branch of Red Cross will be held at the historic headquarters of the Florence Committee of the Italian Red Cross, at Palazzo Capponi.
This Christmas market has been the main source of funding for over 25 years. Volunteers of Red Cross supported more than 2,000 people who saffered from poverty, illnesses, problems of social reintegration and childrens from a deprived families.
All the proceeds of the Christmas Market will be exclusively dedicated to the assistance of needy Florentine families.

“Nataleperfile” Christmas Market at Palazzo Corsini
Italian Foundation of Leniterapia Onlus (FILE) that assist those who can not regain health, times Nataleperfile, it’s annual fundraising event to coincide with Christmas. It makes the traditional Christmas market more evocative. It is traditionally hosted in the splendid historical setting of Palazzo Corsini.
Here you can buy gifts all of kinds: clothing, accessories for women, men and children, books, design items and household linen, jewelry and bijoux, fragrances for home and perfumes, as well as cosmetics, food and wine, and much more.
The exhibitors will donate part of the proceeds. Thanks to the numerous public participation, the funds of FILE raised – 100 thousand euros only in 2017.

“ETSY Made in Italy” Christmas Market
The “Etsy made in Italy” market hosts artisans, designers, and local artists who are the part of Etsy community and who have shops with craft goods.
At this market you will be inspired with many handmade gift ideas, from clothing to jewelry, from accessories to origami or original greeting cards. It will be an excellent opportunity to find unique and totally handmade gifts, ready to be put under the Christmas tree. During the day, there will be also available free creative workshops.
