The Feast of the Immaculate Conception in Tuscany

December is full of holidays, and the first one which is celebrated every year on 8th December is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Naturally, this national holiday has a great importance from the spiritual point of view being one of the principal dates before Christmas. On the one hand, for those who have a strong and sincere faith, it is one of the most major annual religious celebration, on the other hand, for all the people it is the symbolic beginning of the Christmas season and it is precisely the day when traditionally the Christmas tree is trimmed and nativity scene is prepared.
