Sunday, 24th November 2019, is the date of the 2019 edition of the international classic road race, the 36th Florence Marathon. Year after year, thousands of sportspeople and enthusiasts from all over the world come to participate in this classic race on the last Sunday in November. This great event in Florence has increased immeasurably recently so much so that we expect more than 10.000 participants in 2019.

Taking the distance of 42 kilometers and 195 meters, the Florence Marathon involves many narrow streets where runners pass by some amazing Italian scenery and architecture, including views of the surrounding hills and countryside. The route also passes the likes of the Cathedral Square, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio.

Our city is not a huge town so it is pretty easy to run here and is also easy to find a race to participate in, as we have a big running movement with many clubs, big races, small ones, fun ones. So everybody can find a way to run, race and have a good time!
